On Wednesday (afternoon) December 2 a guided visit to the largest manure treatment company ‘Fertikal’ in Flanders will be organised.
Visit to Fertikal: Fertikal is manufacturer and seller of organic and organo-mineral NPK fertilizers worldwide. Fertikal processes Flemish (Belgian) and Dutch manure into composted soil conditioner and granulated organic fertilizer for both agricultural and horticultural markets. Fertikal's offices and production site are located in the center of the Port of Antwerp, an obvious logistical advantage in terms of transport and accessibility. The production plant has been completely modernized in 2014 and is one of the largest in Europe.
All information see http://www.fertikal.be/
Next to this visit, the NIR(Near Infra-Red)-system will be demonstrated.
This mobile system offers the farmer the possibility to register on-line the composition of manure in the slurry tank, this by using a NIR-sensor. This concept has been picked up by the Dutch company ‘D-TEC’ and will be demonstrated during the visit on December 2. Today the Dutch government investigates if Near Infra-Red could be used as registration system for manure transports.
